The project consisted of a substantial waste water treatment facility infrastructure upgrade that included fit and finish upgrades as well as exterior envelope repairs to the existing administration as well as similar scope of work for several out buildings. A new sludge handling building was proposed as well as a new screening building. The new buildings were purposely designed to match the existing Architectural context of the site to lessen the potential concerns within the waterfront neighborhood. A red brick veneer was incorporated into the sludge handling building matching other substantial buildings on site while an articulated precast-concrete structure was proposed for the screenings building matching the more utilitarian structures on site. The common architectural repairs and upgrades included brick masonry repair, door and window replacement, paint application and new roofing systems.
