Riverton Park public housing complex slated for $60 million redevelopment

Portland’s Riverton Park community is slated for a major redevelopment lead by Portland Housing Authority and CWS Architecture + Interior Design. Plans include the rehabilitation of 21 existing buildings, construction of a new four-story 59-unit building and the addition of a new neighborhood center. The updates will result in more energy efficient buildings with additional improvements in ventilation and handicap accessibility, along with upgraded windows, siding, flooring, and interior finishes. The neighborhood center will house services and amenities including space for the Boys & Girls Club and a community policing liaison office, a multipurpose gym, community kitchen and a food and clothing pantry.
