Story & Career

Maggie Stanley has had a lifelong interest in the arts as well as the world of architecture and construction. She comes from a family of carpenters and general contractors who helped foster her interests, leading to her earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Syracuse University. Maggie is a member of the American Institute of Architects and serves on the Portland Planning Board. She has been with CWS since 2018. Maggie is very much a family person and she spends time with her mother, brother, sister and three nieces as well as her fiance and their hound mix Louise. In her free hours, she spends a lot of time on the water, skis and sews. Her life outside architecture has also included herding sheep in the French Alps and painting a mural on a barn in New Zealand.
