Historic Preservation

CWS Architects has been a recognized leader in the historic preservation design for more than 25 years. We have incorporated preservation design approaches into over 25 projects in dozens of New England communities. Projects range from buildings constructed in the early 1800’s through the early 1960s, rural to urban, and privately to publicly owned developments. Funded sources include State and Federal Historic Preservation Tax Credits combined with public and private financing. CWS has received numerous local, state and national historic preservation awards for work on these projects.
