Serving the Cooks Corner and surrounding area of Brunswick, this 4-bay, 4-bed fire sub-station was designed to balance durability, functionality, and long-term performance.
Guided by a stringent set of municipal design standards, the building’s exterior combines brick masonry and wood shingle siding, with materials and detailing selected to ensure consistency with the Cook’s Corner Design Guidelines while reinforcing a sense of permanence within the community. Durability, maintenance, and longevity were central considerations throughout the design process.
Inside, the station supports both daily operations and emergency response needs. Program spaces include paired sleeping quarters, administrative offices, and a conference room designed to function as an emergency operations center when needed. The facility also incorporates internal training features to support ongoing firefighter development within the station itself.
